About Tryhard

Tryhard Hobbyist is a movement for people who care deeply about getting better, not because they’re naturally talented, but because of an insatiable curiosity and a desire to improve at the things they’re passionate about.

It’s built for the athletes, hobbyists, and high-expectation humans who train hard, think deeply, and want to become more capable in every corner of their life.

Not by grinding themselves into the ground, but through clarity, consistency, self-honesty, and sustainable effort.

Tryhard Hobbyist stands on a simple belief:

You don’t need to be gifted to grow. You just need to get better on purpose.

Our community values intentional practice over mindless reps, progress over perfection, boundaries over burnout, and the kind of effort you can be proud of.

We train with purpose. We reflect. We rest when needed. We play inside difficulty. And we find magnificence in the monotonous routine of improvement.

Tryhard Hobbyist is more than a training brand.

It’s a philosophy. A practice. A way of becoming.

About the Founder

I’m Rosie, a black belt under André Galvão, a late bloomer in jiujitsu, and a coach who cares deeply about helping people grow.

I’ve trained for over a decade in world-class rooms, learning firsthand what intentional effort looks like. I spent years chasing competitive success while straddling the space between “competitor” and “hobbyist”, feeling like I didn’t fully belong to either.

I wasn’t a professional competitor, but I cared as deeply as one.

I wasn’t naturally talented, but I was committed.

I realized I cared more about becoming my best, than the best. And, seeing where I ended up.

Tryhard Hobbyist is for people like that:

the ones who want to train intentionally, live honestly, push their potential, and stay connected to their values while they do it.

It’s the brand I needed when I started this journey, and the one I’m building for everyone who thinks the way I do.

My work blends technical training, performance mindset, nutrition mentorship, and the lived philosophy behind Tryhard Hobbyist.

In a world that tells us to just keep grinding…

I believe in intentional effort to bridge the gap between hobbyists and high performers.

Tryhard Hobbyist is my way of sharing that path.
